David Blackley lives in bayside Melbourne, but Australia's remote landscapes are his inspiration and he takes part in outback art camps each year.

Recently, he has painted in the Kimberley, in three different locations out of Alice Springs, and along the intriguing coast of northern Tasmania.

David had a corporate career as creative director in advertising before

turning his attention to the Brainwave charity and to expressing his visions of the country on canvas.

David's mother was an accomplished artist and he has had a lifelong interest in Australian art.  He is a member of the Victorian Artists Society and the art group at the Melbourne Savage Club.
